Wild Carrot Seed Ale

Last but not least, our final Province Ale Co. draws on a late 1700’s recipe containing Wild Carrot Seeds.

Province Ale Co

Wild carrots are otherwise known as Queen Anne’s Lace here in the US, and the seeds of this plant family possess a spicy fragrant flavor and numerous purported health properties. For this beer we chose a traditional English Pale base malt and supplemented with the finest English and French Hops. This Pale Ale was then fermented with a Belgian yeast strain for added complexity and to compliment the carrot seeds, which were added as a dry-hop addition in the fermenter.  This unique beer starts as pale ale but then transforms into something else with the yeast and carrot seeds.  Bready malts with earthy hops, mingling with subtle tropical fruit and spice notes.

Wild Carrot Seed Ale will be tapped on Saturday, December 14, 2013 and will be flowing until its all gone!

Due to limited availability, our Brewpub Exclusive beers are not available for growler fills.
