Like a trip through an international farmer's market, Subcontinental pHrüt is a fruited sour with a well-worn passport. Into the beer, we swirled fruits and spices from exotic places ... Alphonso Mango from India, Colombian Tangerine, Yellow Cardamom from the Cloud Forest of Costa Rica, Egyptian Rosewater and Madagascar Vanilla Beans. Loosely based on an Indian mango lassi, it has a sweet tartness, warm spice, floral notes and lactic tanginess in a creamy base beer brewed with rolled oats, a touch of milk sugar and gobs of pureed mango and tangerine.
