Leaf in Place is a playful exploration of a traditional Baltic porter infused with dried Mission figs and toasted hazelnuts. Unlike a typical English porter, this Baltic porter was warm-fermented with a German lager yeast to bring out fruity esters of plum and fig, and was brewed with a blend of light and dark Munich malts. We then aged this exclusive brew for nine months in Dogfish Head Distilling Co. rum casks to bring oaky vanilla and rum notes to the rich, dark fruit and fig tones of this off-centered ale.
