Au Courant

Released twice in bottles in 2004, our first version of Au Courant was a remarkable, strong Belgian Pale Ale brewed with French Pilsner malt and pale Belgian Candi Sugar. Pureed currants and our house Belgian Ale strain were added to the fermenter to create a unique beer.

In October 2021, we reimagined this throwback brew into a 7% ABV fruited, kettle soured Belgian-style Ale using German Pilsner, Munich and Vienna malts and black currant puree. It was kettle soured with our house-grown lactobacillus blend and then fermented with a Belgian yeast strain. Available in 16 oz. cans for $17 per 4-pack from our Off-Centered emPOURium in Rehoboth, and on draft in Brewings & Eats starting on Wednesday, October 20 at 12 p.m., while it lasts!
