Wine Enthusiast Magazine in their December 2005 issue gave great reviews to Dogfish Head beers.

The prestigious magazine gave the "Classic (96-100)/Highest Recommendation" to both the Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale and the Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA.

For the Indian Brown Ale, the reviews wrote, "Baked, roasted, concentrated and caramel-like, with later notes of toasted barley mixed with honey, winter holiday spices and high-content cocoa. Mid-palate is a feast of molasses, honey, vanilla extract, caramel corn and toasted marshmallow. Concludes smooth, satiny, rich and elegant."

Reviews described the 60 Minute IPA like this, "Smells enticingly of rose petals, tangerine, orange zest, grass and nutmeg; later on, the tangerine-orange combo takes charge. The palate entry is squeaky clean, hoppy and tart; the midpalate is long, deep, and engagingly cereal-like. Finished harmoniously, with a trace of pine or cedar."

Both the Dogfish Head Aprihop and the Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA earned the magazine's "Superb (90-95)/Highly Recommended" rating.
