FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

6/21/2010

The famed Steampunk Treehouse, created by artist Sean Orlando and the 5-Ton Crane Arts Group of Oakland, California has found a permanent home at Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton, Delaware.

The Treehouse, an iconic sculpture was first exhibited at the 2007 Burning Man festival in Nevada. The scupture went on to capture imaginations at a few other festival and events, but did not have a permanent home - until now!!!

In 2009, Dogfish reached out to Orlando and the 5-Ton Crane Arts Group. We quickly realized that we were on the same page of a pretty off-centered book as Sean and his crew. We enthusiastically agreed to make a permanent home for the Steampunk Treehouse at our Milton, Delaware brewery.

The Treehouse componets left California a few weeks ago and arrived late last week on two big ole trucks.

Last week, the artists arrived and began piecing together the componets of the sculpture in our parking lot. At the same time, footers and main support structure for the sculture were erected.
