New Beer & Great Music

I had a great lunch at our Rehoboth pub yesterday with Bill Covaleski from Victory Brewery.  I was glad to hear how much Victory is growing and to catch up with an old friend – Bill is one of the true gentleman-philosopher-brewers of our industry.

While there, we both really enjoyed our newest pub-only beer that was brewed by Todd – one of the fine brewers at our Milton production brewery.  It is a light refreshing Gose brewed with a lot of wheat and a touch of coriander and salt as per tradition.  It has nice citrusy-lemony notes and is as complex as it is quaffable.  It'll be on tap while is lasts, but why not come try it while our Lead Brewer’s Bryan’s band plays this Saturday night.

Speaking of music – I’m really excited to have one of my all-time favorite bands The Waco Brothers hitting our Rehoboth stage on Friday of Labor Day weekend.  Lead singer and guitarist Jon Langford is a friend and inspiration. Jon is also in The Mekons, one of the seminal UK punk bands that have been making amazing music together for over 30 years.  He is also an amazing fine arts painter and was named Village Voice artist of the year.  Jon is a Dogfish-insider, as it is his artwork that graces the labels of our Burton Baton, Immort Ale and Raison d’Extra beers.  The Waco’s put one of the most energetic and entertaining live shows of any band out there. I'll be at the show and I hope to see ya at there!   sam
