Vintage Vertical Tastings – Tapping into Sam’s Stash
We will be tapping into Sam’s private stash to sample one of his favorite ageable ales, World Wide Stout. We will discuss what styles of beer are desirable to age, best storage methods and how flavors change over time.

From Grain to Glass: A Sensory Tour Through 60 Minute IPA
Our classic American IPA, 60 Minute IPA, is a harmonious blend of barley, hops, yeast and water. By tasting their way through this beer, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the fermentation process. Attendees will sample unfermented wort, fully fermented (but unfiltered and uncarbonated) beer, and finished product while hearing about the different biological and chemical reactions occurring throughout fermentation.

Off-Flavors aren’t Off-centered: Sensory Experience
While Dogfish prides itself on creating some off-the-wall beers, our recipes are designed with specific flavors in mind. We use carefully controlled fermentation techniques, followed by rigorous quality testing to ensure that only the best-tasting beer makes it to market.  This sensory experience will educate participants on some of the most common undesirable attributes in beer and their causes. Participants will smell and taste doctored beer samples and learn what causes these specific flaws, as well as how we avoid them.
