I love Rehoboth in September.....

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Yup, that's right two blogs in one day.  I didn't want to keep all the great news to myself so I am going to share a little bit of what is in store at the Pub as the weather cools.  The Pub daily specials have begun.  We are starting our daily specials check out the specials tab on our website.  The brewery in Milton is hosting the Intergalactic Bocce Tournament this weekend and it is always a good time had by all, participants and spectators alike.  Just one short week later is the Dogfish Dash.  The annual event that raises money and awareness for the Nature Conservancy is being held in Milton this year due to overwhelming popularity.  Registration will still take place at the pub on Saturday September 26, 2009 at 4PM.   And just one week after that Oktoberfest, Rehoboth style begins on Friday October 2 and runs through Sunday October 4.  The pub along with other local restaurants will feature German themed menus and specials.  The pub is conditioning an Alt bier to celebrate Oktoberfest.  This orange hued ale has a nice malt profile with hints of biscuit and a nice hoppy finish.  It will be on tap Friday October 2nd.  Get it while it lasts.   Check out www.downtownrehoboth.com for more information on this event and other great events in Rehoboth during September and October.  October also marks Jazz Fest Weekend. Oct.14 - 18 brings some legendary musicians to the convention center.  Dogfish Head is having a Jazz Fest of their own on Saturday October 17, 2009 New Orleans own, Brass, Funk and Rock and Roll collide with Bonerama.  www.boneramamusic.com will take the stage at Dogfish Head.  Tickets go on sale Monday 9/21 for only $15.00.  This is a rare chance to see a band like this in such an intimate setting. Get them while they last.  Everyone knows by now that 2009 Punkin' Ale is on the market and is tasting great.   Only a few people know that tonight at 4:30PM.  The Pub is tapping a limited release of Punkin' Ale Casks.  This Punkin' is naturally carbonated in casks poured from our beer engine.  There are only a few of these around so get it while it lasts......Cheers and hope to see you at the pub soon.Jason
