Scurvy Grass Ale

For our November Province Ale Co. release we have another wonderful fever extinguishing, cold relieving, health boosting, energy enriching, nerve tonic of an a beer. Well, maybe not all of that, at least not to our knowledge.  While this beer may have been marketed in this manner back in the day, all we know is that it’s one tasty elixir.

Province Ale Co

Brewed with Scurvy Grass, a vitamin rich coastal plant that sailors would rely on to cure their nutrient deficiencies (or scurvy); Senna Leaf, a plant native to Egypt known to help cleanse the digestive system; and horseradish, a root-vegetable believed to have antiseptic qualities.  A dash of nutrient-rich molasses adds to the allure of this herbal brew.  These were added to a base of all Czech pilsner malt and spicy Czech saaz hops, fresh from Eastern Europe.  A pale ale with more than meets the eye, the subtle herbal qualities of this beer keep you coming back for sip after sip.

Scurvy Grass Ale will be tapped on Saturday, October 19, 2013 and will be around until it is all gone.

Due to limited availabiliy, Brewpub Exclusive beers are not available for growler fills.
