The latest release from the brewery inside Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats (Rehoboth Beach), Blood Orange Heffeweizen. This beer was featured in Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione's book "Extreme Brewing".
The beer is about 5.5% abv with approximately 30 IBUs.
The brew is composed of 55% Wheat Malt, 45% Pilsner Malt and hopped exclusively with Ahtanum Hops. A total of 180 Blood oranges in the form of rinds, juice and pulp were added to the whirlpool, during fermentation and post fermentation.
Due to the limited availability of this beer, we are sorry that we cannot offer growlers of the Blood Orance Heffeweizen.
