Wheetle is another one of our genre-bending brews, a mash up of an American Wheat Ale and Black IPA with the addition of Organic Lemon slices in the kettle. Brewed with 2-row malt and over 50% wheat malts, including both English Crystal Wheat and US grown and malted Debittered Black Wheat. The large amount of wheat malt gives this beer an incredible lush and smooth mouth feel, and the Midnight Wheat adds deep black hues with slight chocolate notes without any acrid or harsh roast character. The lemon slices enhance the dank citrusy qualities of the Topaz, Citra, and Amarillo hops that were added in the kettle, and this hop character was further enhanced by two pounds per barrel of dry-hops in the fermenter. Full of flavor yet light and easy drinking, this is another brew that will please hop heads and dark beer lovers alike.
