Welcome summer on a sour note with Festina Peche

Sunday, May 19, 2013

Sour but not too sour, fruit-forward but not too fruity, our summer seasonal Festina Peche is just right.

At one time, there were more than 70 breweries in Berlin brewing Berliner weissbiers, but sadly, there are only a few left. Our off-centered take, hitting taps and shelves starting June 1, is a refreshing summer quencher that doesn’t compromise on flavor.

Festina PecheFestina Peche, lightly hopped and just 4.5% ABV, is a great summer session beer.

Traditionally, Berliner weissbiers are served with a dash of woodruff or raspberry syrup to soften the intense sourness. With Festina Peche, the natural peach sugars are eaten by the ale yeast and the fruity complexity is woven into both the aroma and the flavor. Skip the extras. Just open and enjoy.

Lightly hopped and just 4.5% ABV, Festina Peche pairs well with grilled chicken or fish and light summer salads. It’s available seasonally throughout Dogfish Head’s 27-state distribution network. To find where it’s been delivered near you, check the Fish Finder.
