Meet the Brewers

Remember Extreme Brewing? Chock full of unique homebrew recipes, as well as words of wisdom from Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione and his craft beer brethren, Extreme Brewing has become an integral part of the homebrewing journey.

This August, Sam (in collaboration with the Alström Brothers of BeerAdvocate) is at it again releasing a new book titled Project Extreme Brewing: An Enthusiast's Guide to Extreme Brewing at Home. An authoritative primer on extreme brewing, this book will be a must-have for the hardcore homebrewer, featuring recipes from innovative brewers across the U.S. As a lead up to the summer book launch, Sam has invited some of the brewers featured in the book to brew their recipes at our Rehoboth Beach brewpub. At the end of each brew day, Sam and the gang will host a happy hour where beer lovers can come together to share a pint, meet the brewers, and chat all-things extreme beer. Join us on…

Tuesday, February 28 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Sam and Brewmaster Tomme Arthur from The Lost Abbey will be sharing stories and highlights from their day brewing Pêche de Tomme. With over 20 years of professional brewing under his belt, Tomme is considered one of the world’s top brewers creating unique beers using fruits, herbs, spices, and specializing in oak-aging. While Pêche de Tomme will not be available at this event, you can find it on tap beginning Friday, March 24! Available until it's not!

Thursday, March 9 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Reunited yet again, join Sam and Brewmaster Bryan Selders from The Post Brewing Co.! You’ll find them swapping stories and highlights of their brew day, as well as details about Bulky Oxen, anEnglish-style Barleywine. Before moving to Lafayette, CO in 2013 to open The Post, Bryan was a Rehoboth local and brewer at Dogfish Head for nearly a decade. Bulky Oxen will not be available at this event, but you will be able to give it a try beginning Thursday, March 30! Available until it's not!

Additional Meet the Brewer’s happy hours are in the works, so check back for more details over the coming weeks!

We hope to see there!
