Dogfish Head's own Sam Calagione and Marnie Old, director of wine studies at New York's famed French Culinary Institute, have co-hosted so many popular Beer vs. Wine dinners over the years that they've finally decided to write the book on the subject. If you've been to one of the dinners, you know how much fun it is! A chef comes up with a fantastic menu and shares is with Sam and Marnie just days before the event. Sam and Marnie each choose the 'perfect' pairing drink for each course. The guests enjoy the food and drinks, then vote on which pairs better with each course... the beer or wine!
"He Said Beer, She Said Wine" is a back and forth discussion between Sam and Marnie. They 'argue' over which pairs better with specific kinds of food... beer or wine? Sam, of course, pushes beer and Marnie tries in vain to pitch the merits of wine!
