How did people gain the confidence to start correctly describing beer? Do you sometimes wish there was a visual language you could follow? Like movies are rated 5 stars, what if a beer was rated 4 hops for how bitter it was. Does the label of the beer ever influence how you descirbe the beer?

Hello there. One of the things that makes beer reviews worthwhile is the ability of the taster to articulate what they're experiencing. Does this beer have notes of pencil shavings, does that beer smell like fresh-cut grass after a spring rain? Taste a lot of beers, trust your impressions and don't be afraid to share. Everyone starts somewhere.
Take a look at sites like BeerAdvocate and Ratebeer. There are more reviews there than you could read in a lifetime.
Good luck!
