Richmond, Virginia native here. A buddy and I have recently discovered DFH and can't seem to drink much else. Can't seem to find any 120-Minute locally, even at the the popular watering holes. "Sigh." That's really all I have to say right now.

Here in Ohio the ABV limit is 12% can get Palo Santo Maron but no 120. I believe it's 17 or 18%. I'm considering a road trip to pick up some just not sure how far I'd have to drive.
I circumvent these by taking road trips to PA, for me a four hour round trip. No such laws there. I just went yesterday and bought a case of Olde School. It's well worth the drive.
Cheers
I am planning a trip myself. I life in Bellefontaine, OH. Where did you find your Olde School and did they have Barton Baton yet. Heard anyhing on DFH120?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Use the Fish Finder feature here on the DFH website to find the nearest distributor to you - in PA. First be familiar with the release schedule here on the website. Then call the distributor before getting in the car since the seasonal releases usually sell out quickly. Furthermore, they may limit sales of some of the seasonal like 120 and Olde School due to the fact that they have existing accounts to satisfy and they receive a limited allocation from the brewery themselves. The seasonals you're looking for may only be available for a matter of weeks so your timing is important.
This is what works well for me. I plan my trips, stock up when I go and drink well as a result. Good Luck
talk with all the liquor stores around you that sell DFH. You'll have to find a store that has a license as a bar or reseraunt, not just a liquer store. it was costly, but i found a case of 120 min that way. half of it is still aging in my drybar in the basement. :)
just picked up ten of them today. i would be willing to help out a fellow drinker. hit me up at confiel16@gmail.com
Well, I must say I am new to Dogfishehead because of the show Brewmasters. LOVE THE SHOW!
After hearing Sam and the folks talk about the 120 as their money maker, big beer I thought, WOW I gotta try that.
I stopped in a local pizza shop that sells beer by the bottle and they had some 120's. I think it was $11.64 a bottle. I bought one. I must say I was pretty excited about this purchase...lol
Well I opened it tonight and tried it...DISGUSTING! I forced 3 sips in hopes that it might actually get better, but it didn't. So I dumped an $11 bottle of beer down the sink.
Way to high abv. Not sure how long this sat on the shelf at the pizza shop, but 18% or higher must be too high for me. It was not even like drinking a beer. I was like drinking a shot of liquor. gross!
I will try the 90 minute this upcoming weekend, my brother has a case and LOVES IT. We'll see?
JMO, I am sure a lot of people love the 120, just not for me.
120 is a brew that either you like it or you hate it. It takes a special kinda person to enjoy the brew. I strive to find the most hoppy beers and high/level notes i can w/o outside distractions. I've tried so many beers that try, but it's always a miss. But dogfish blows my mind. Infact, i just blew 250 dollars clearing out stock at my local store of their Raison and ipa 90. Sam has realy inspires me, along with his brewmasters keeping it real, the integrity and professionalism is bar none. Been reading his book of how things begain for him. I'm inspired sam. And i'm thankful for you sharing. I hope to have the skills to compete with you some day.
Ok, so after I bash the 120, I think it is only fair that I come back and let you all know what I think of the 90.
LOVE IT!!!
Ok, it might be my new favorite IPA. Sam, if you read these forums, keep up the good work and I look forward to trying many more of your crazy beers! But, this 90 minute is unbelievable....mmmmm!
