Great thank you for the information. I have pulled my two bottles from the "cellar" and will drink them up this weekend. Is there a rule of thumb I can follow to help determine which beers are better to allow to age for a while? I have also always wondered on what could be "too long" to allow a beer to sit.
Hi, Brett. We don't really recommend aging anything that has an ABV of less than 10%. Most of those are best enjoyed fresh.
Ultimately, it's a personal preference. If you drink one of our big beers -- 15-20% -- and find it too hot from alcohol or maybe too hoppy, for example, lay it down for a while and let those characteristics mellow.
Good luck, and thanks for drinking the good stuff.
Festina is one of our beers that is better fresh, so enjoy them sooner rather than later.
Speaking from experience ... I found a Festina in the fridge last week that had been there since summer. It was just fine. Go for it!
