I've recently become a Dogfish convert and am fascinated with the craft brew culture. I love the beer, and I'm proud that its home is my native Maryland. That being said, I only wish it wasn't illegal to sell beer online. This would make enjoying the brews much easier for me since I'm disabled and don't get out much. Does anyone know if there has been any progress in lifting the online ban?

I live in the Twin Cites in Minnesota and I too am disabled. We have a grocery chain here that home delivers and they also have a liquor store so they will deliver anything from their liquor store right to your doorstep. I get my groceries and my beer without leaving my house. It was around for years and I didnt know it so its possible you may have something like that in your area. The only bad news is they dont carry DFH.
I'd like to find a way to buy it online myself, since the nearest shop to buy it is 73 miles away in Michigan. Even worse since a 6-point buck buckled the front of my car's roof. There are 3-4 DFH brews I want to try. Especially the Midas Touch.before I commit to brewing 6 gallons of it from a conversion I found of the original tomb recipe. Why is it everytime I find a brew I want to try,it isn't sold in Ohio?...
But the catch is, they work to get the brewer's permission to sell their beers. Has Dogfish been approached by them or has Dogfish reached out to Beerjobber? This would be a great way for us to not only get DFH beers (including the ones that aren't distributed everywhere), but because Beerjobber ships brewery fresh, we're guaranteed that it wll be fresh and tasty (no dust on the bottles)!
Is there a way we can contact Dogfish to ask them about this?
Not sure where you're from in Ohio but I've found one place that sells DFH...Fourth Street Patio in Columbus has a carryout that sells it. I just picked up some 60min today, I saw they have 2 or 3 other kinds but didn't really have time to look around. They usually have 1 or 2 kinds on tap too.
It really depends on where you are located in Maryland. I also live in Maryland and can find almost anything (but do have to drive 20 miles or so to find the really difficult items).
Ebay is good. By their policy, a seller is forced to list certain conditions but if you find a reputable seller, you can basically get anything you want.
I actually know quite a few places online that consider themselves tasting clubs. You pay a membership fee and every week/month (depending on which membership you buy) they send you beer based on the variety that is in season. I know a couple friends who have contemplated doing this but still dont know anyone personally.
Def not illegal.
It's not illegal to sell beer online if you are a distributor. Halftimebeverage.com has a wide selection of beer online. I'm not sure what the shipping laws are in Maryland since each state will vary but they have an online website to buy beer. I think they do sell Dogfish Head brews under domestic delaware beer.
Do you know if there's also a site that will ship too Europe?
