Nothing better.....try it and you won't regret it!
2 bottles of 60 Minute
1 bottle of water
4 cloves of sliced garlic
1 large vidalia onion- quartered and sliced
10-12 fresh bratwurst
Place all in a large pot. Bring to a boil. As soon as it starts to boil, turn down to low. Let it simmer for 20 minutes. Turn heat off.
Here is where you have to make the next decision...to grill, to keep and "marinate" in fridge until tomorrow or freeze.
If marinating or freezing, place brats in two gallon size freeer bags. Add 3 cups of onion/garlic/beer liquid and place in fridge or freezer. If freezing, thaw and follow directs below.
If grilling, remove brats and place on medium heat grill that has been rubbed with oil so the brats don't stick. Remember that the brats are cooked from the boil. Once you begin to see the juice inside the brat bubbling under the skin and lightly browned, they are ready to serve.
Here is the BEST part!
Turn the liquid in the pot on high to reduce the beer/garlic/onion into what we call "smooze"! If there is a lot of liquid you can pour some of it off. Place the reduced smooze on top of your brat with a bit of spicy mustard and ENJOY!! We toast our buns on the grill to prevent the second bun from getting mushy, while we eat the first one. No one can eat just one!!

These sound AMAZING! Thanks for sharing.
