2011 DOGFISH DASH REGISTRATION TO OPEN 4/1/11

The 2011 Dogfish Dash will be the biggest one yet!!! Were adding 250 more spots and looking forward to hosting 1750 runners at our Milton, DE brewery on Sunday, September 25, 2011. We will host a packet pickup session the evening of Saturday, 9/24/11 at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats (our Rehoboth Beach brewpub). All registrants will receive an e-mail from us a week or two before the race with lots more info about the 2011 Dash - see you soon!

DASH DETAILS:

The Dogfish Dash is a slightly off-centered 5K & 10K road race that starts and finishes at the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery (# 6 Cannery Village Center, Milton, DE 19968) and benefits the Delaware Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. Aside from a great, chip-timed race, we'll have food, live entertainment, brewery tours, lots of fun, and Dogfish Head beer.

Race: Sunday, September 25th, 2011 / Race begins at 8:00am sharp! Plan to arrive early and allow time to find a parking spot.

There will be NO race day registration.

Fees: 5K $20 / 10K $25

Awards Presented To: Overall Champion / Overall Masters / Top 3 in age groups: 9 & under / 10-13 / 14-19 / 20-29 / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50-59 / 60-69 / 70 & over

Packet Pickup: Saturday (9/24/11) at Dogfish Head Brewings and Eats (320 Rehoboth Avenue) from 4pm - 7pm or Sunday morning at the brewery before the race (get there early!)

Post Dash Festivities: Well once again have live music, a recycled costume competition, keg sprints (yeah, start training now), give-a-ways, tasty breakfasty treats and of course fermented beverages.

A note on Costumes: Weve had some wicked cool and creative runners participate in a variety of off-centered costumes the last few years, and we hope 2011 is the best year yet. Costumes should be made from recycled/reused/re-imagined materials (be off-centered, but please be tasteful). The judging will be non-scientific, and the prizes will be fun!

Race Timing: LIN-MARK Sports of Mantua, NJ will time the 2011 Dogfish Dash utilizing the B-TAG from ChronoTrack Timing, and the worlds most advanced timing system with the disposable chip. All participants will receive their assigned B-Tag affixed to the back of their race number where it will remain for the entire event. No need to remove and place the chip on your shoe, this advanced system practically eliminates human error!
