Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is seeking an off-centered, quality focused, experienced, safety driven Packaging Supervisor to join our growing Packaging Team of 20; spanning three busy shifts. Under general supervision of the Packaging Manager, you will work hard to ensure that healthy beer efficiently flows into bottles, cases and kegs on schedule and on time. Under general supervision of the Packaging Supervisor, you will keep the beer flowing into bottles, cases and kegs, through the efficient coordination of equipment, materials, and beer. You will operate all of the packaging and kegging equipment, as well as stack, prepare and coordinate the delivery of finished product to the warehouse. You will perform cleaning and sanitation efforts to ensure the packaging line is always ready for action. You will help the team achieve quality benchmarks through the completion of various quality line initiatives. You will be in tune with the equipment to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting as needed or provide quick notification to the Packaging Mechanic for other significant line stoppages or various during-run concerns. The qualified candidate will have a minimum high school diploma or the equivalent. Coursework or certification in a mechanical/technical trade is preferred. A minimum of two years of machine operation experience in a production environment required; mechanical experience a plus. Bottling line experience preferred. Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is seeking an off-centered Farm Helper to join our wastewater team during the busy hay season. Under general supervision of the off-centered Wastewater Supervisor, you’ll help ensure the fields are maintained and ready for more water. You’ll mow, condition, tedder, rake and bale tons of hay this busy hay season. You’ll also perform field and equipment maintenance, so prior farming experience is a must. In addition to all this you’ll be trimming tree limbs, grading driveways and doing other odd jobs to help maintain the land and help your fellow wastewater coworkers do their part to help keep the brewery running. The qualified candidate will have a minimum high school diploma or the equivalent, serious farming experience may take place of the educational requirement. The qualified candidate must have previous farming experience. Experience with farming equipment over 50 horsepower also a must. Must be able to lift/pull 50 pounds, twist/turn, reach over shoulders and stand/walk on a continual basis. Must also be capable of working outside in all types of weather conditions. Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is seeking a skilled, self-motivated off-centered Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic to join our rapidly growing maintenance department. Under general supervision of the off-centered Maintenance Manager, you will perform a variety of different tasks utilizing your wide array of mechanical and technical knowhow. Some of the knowhow in your handy dandy bag of tricks includes things like mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair on production machines. Utilizing your mechanical and technical skills you will perform preventive maintenance and installation tasks to support the production process, prescribe preventive maintenance, repair existing equipment (and modify if needed- welding and fabrication skills a must), install new systems, troubleshoot machinery, as well as detect and report defective materials and/or questionable conditions to the off-centered Maintenance Manager. A maintenance mechanic with proven knowhow and a get it done attitude will likely do well. The qualified candidate will be detail, task and safety oriented with a strong work ethic and high quality work. A high school diploma or the equivalent; completion of a craft apprenticeship and/or maintenance experience in a production environment required. Minimum 5 years manufacturing mechanical experience in a production and/or industrial environment with working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills; HVAC exposure and previous experience with high speed packaging and bottling equipment is preferred. Basic millwright and plumbing skills required. Familiarity with computer applications including Microsoft Office software and CMMS required. Prior experience with sanitary/hygienic equipment (pumps, piping, CIP systems), in-process instrumentation (pH, conductivity, density, turbidity, O2, CO2), and experience with high levels of automation, PLCs, DCS, Siemens or Rockwell/AB a plus. Previous wastewater and utilities experience is helpful. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and sustain work overhead including use of power/hand tools for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While there is intense creativity in every bottle we produce, our brewers adhere to recipes and SOPs to achieve the best possible consistency of taste and experience of our drinkers. Youll work in tandem with our Quality team, and document processes to ensure that every bottle and keg is tight. Youll take ownership of the processes on your scheduled shift (currently 8 hours), which will rotate to include nights and weekends. Youll do a lot of other stuff and have fun doing it. We seek an accountable, reliable person who is adverse to cutting corners and takes immense pride in the work they produce.
