Wine Enthusiast Magazine in their December 2005 issue gave great reviews to Dogfish Head beers.
The prestigious magazine gave the "Superb (90-95)/Highly Recommended" to both the Dogfish Head Aprihop and the Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA.
Editors wrote about the Aprihop, "The aroma from start to finish suggests peaches, apricots, untreated pine, and grassy hops. The taste is keenly refreshing, tart, a touch lemony, and even meringue-like. Ends in a flurry of fruity hops and ripe but astringent flavors."
And about the 90 Minute IPA... "Offers loads of sweet-sour fruity and malty, roasted cereal aromas; later nosing find traces of prune, black raisins, and treacle. Tastes of candied fruit, pineapple, and vanilla wafer. Finishes fruity, smoky, and toasty. Enjoy with a hearty meal."
