The brewing boys of B.U.F.F. gathered at Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton this past weekend for a fun-filled herbalicious brew day!
Sam Calagione of Dogfish, Greg Koch of Stone Brewing Co., and Bill Covaleski of Victory Brewing Company are the three brewers behind the Brewers United for Freedom of Flavor - a loose organization founded in 2003 with the goal of highlighting the passion and camaraderie of the American craft brew movement.
So, BUFF didn't really do anything (beyond talk a lot of talk) until 2010 when the three brewers finally got together to jointly brew a beer at the Stone Brewery. Saison du BUFF was first be brew at Stone Brewing Co. and then replicated at each of the other two breweries - same recipe, same ingredients, three different breweries throughout 2010. Saison du BUFF is 6% alc/vol Saison brewed with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.
The boys hit Dogfish on Sunday, June 6, 2010. First they brewed at the Milton brewery, then gathered with beer drinkers at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats in downtown Rehoboth Beach for a beer dinner.

The Dogfish version of Saison du BUFF will be released into distribution in August of 2010. Victory's version of Saison du BUFF is scheduled to be brewed on 6/10/10.
