dogfishbeer: @Hoptopia You are too kind!

With a community-wide celebration, the town of Lewes, DE officially opened the city's new Canalfront Park (and home to the Dogfish Head Canoe & Kayak Launch) on Saturday, August 15th, 2009.
Citizens, businesses, foundations and governement groups worked together over the past 10 years to make the waterfront park a reality and Dogfish is proud to be part of the effort.
The Dogfish Head Canoe and Kayak launch allows public access to the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal. From the launch, kayakers could head east through the marshes of Cape Henlopen State Park toward Rehoboth Beach (home of Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats) or west along the canal, up the Broadkill River, through the DE Nature Conservancy's McCabe Preserve and into downtown Milton (home of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery).
Lewes' Canalfront Park also houses transient boat slips, a village green, fishing pier and playground. For more information about the park, please visit Friends of The Canalfront Park.
