When thinking about off-centered the first thing that comes to mind is statistics, specifically the normal distribution (most people know it as the bell curve). The center is the mean, or the average. Most people I think fit into the center range when it comes to various measures. I define off-centered as the wings (far ends) of the distribution, where the probability of ending up there is pretty low. To put it in a word, off-centered makes me think of "outlier" or "nonconforming."
