

After a fantastic time at Savor in Washington DC, I am on the road this morning to head up to Philly Beer Week. Other than American Craft Beer Week, Philly Beer Week is the granddaddy of them all. Check

New brew day on the roof here at the Eataly NYC Birreria. Teo, Leo , and I perused the Eataly store aisles this morning. An ingredient-inspiration walk about. We've decided to do a 7% abv amber ale with ugli fruit, fresh grated Ginger, and Two kinds of Italian honey.
So last night was the super-double- secret opening of Birreria, the rooftop brewery at Eataly NYC. My brew-buddies Leo and Teo flew in from Rome and Turin respectively. We met on the rooftop and the first thing we celebrated was Teo's prescient design prowess.
Last Night I took my children to a Robert Mapplethorp show opening at Sean Kelly Gallery in NYC. It was a really cool concept where 50 people from 50 states got to flip through a library of over 2000 images to each choose one.
