Our friend Annemarie runs Salt Water Farm in Lincolville, Maine just outside of Camden; one of the prettiest harbor towns in mid-coast Maine with a vibrant art scene and half a dozen great new and used book stores.
Mariah and I headed to Salt Water Farm last night for an impromptu beer dinner with Annemarie and a bunch of her farmer/chef/mixologist/foodie friends. The deep-water views, food, and conversation were all wonderful. Our favorite courses included local raw oysters with a twist of lemon washed down with 60 Minute IPA. Indian Brown Ale with just-caught grilled mackerel and the steak paired with Hellhound IPA and a Sam Cooke album.

Annemarie hosts feasts and cooking classes in one the most unpretentious but breathtaking food-centric destinations I have ever set foot in. It's definitely with the trip. Check out her website and class schedule here.

My family and I miss your roast beef sandwich with horseradish sauce and au jus for dipping! We are very disappointed that it is no longer on the menu. We come to DFH often for the great beer and food. The new menu it great, but it could be fantastic if you put that sandwich back on. Please consider. :-(
