Beer travel is the best way to travel!
Sam & I love traveling in the name of beer - whether it is to visit the newest craft-centric pub in the next town over... or half way around the world in the name of beer!
Tomorrow, we are lucky enough to embark on an amazing adventure - we're heading to New Zealand for Beervana and to explore the vibrant NZ beer scene!
Beervana is a festival put on by the Brewers Guild of New Zealand to promote NZ craft brews. More than 60 breweries will be entering the awards and exhibiting their premium/craft beer in Wellington next week. We're looking forward to trying loads of them! Along with Beervana, we'll get the chance to participate in a Beer vs. Wine dinner, meet a bunch of NZ brewers and check out the beer scene in Wellington.
In addition, we get a chance to brew another batch of Portamarillo - the collaborative beer we brewed with Luke from Epic Brewing of Auckland, NZ. The first batch was brewed at our Rehoboth Beach brewpub, now we get to visit his brewery and take another stab at the recipe. Should be fun!
It won't be all beer, all the time... we're hoping to explore some of the best New Zealand has to offer - breathtaking views, fantastic experiences, fab food, tasty wines and more.

You boys (and girls) should come to Australia, to a little place called Tasmania and visit the Boags Brewery.
Also, you should come and check out the Malt Shovel Brewery in Sydney and have a chat with our team o...f beer lovers, including Dr Chuck Hahn. We make the James Squire craft beer range there.
Plenty of good craft beer in NZ too, i have a couple of market research bottles of Emersons in my fridge right now!
