

Balance is the word of the day. The muscles I pulled in my right thigh trying to keep up with the Short's Brewery gang playing softball yesterday are perfectly balanced against the muscle I pulled near my left ribs water-skiing on beautiful Elk lake this morning.
The sixth annual Dogfish West Coast Intergalactic Bocce Tournament was a whole lot of fun. This year we held the tournament in San Diego and mother nature complied with perfect sunny breezy weather. The teams all brought their A game and dressed to the nines.

Teo (Baladin Brewery, Turin, Italy), Leo (Birra del Borgo, Rome, Italy), and I hosted a lunch on the new rooftop brewpub Birreria at Eataly NYC today. My favorite pairing was the blood sausage with cask conditioned Eataly brown ale.
New brew day on the roof here at the Eataly NYC Birreria. Teo, Leo , and I perused the Eataly store aisles this morning. An ingredient-inspiration walk about. We've decided to do a 7% abv amber ale with ugli fruit, fresh grated Ginger, and Two kinds of Italian honey.
