We require reservations for the free tours of our Milton, DE brewery in order to make the experience as wonderful as possible for our guests! Basically, before we started the reservation system, we'd have way too many people show up for a tour and the tour was kind of a chaotic. Remember, you are touring a working brewery! We need to make sure our tours are as safe as possible. We also want to make sure that you can hear your friendly tour guide, see what he/she is pointing out, and get a chance to get your free samples at the end of the tour! You can save spots for your free tour right on our website. We do ask that you please wear closed-toe shoes on the Dogfish Head brewery tour. Thanks!

I just wanted to thank your staff for being so accomidating on my recent visit. My parents live in Cannery Village which, as you know, is within walking distance of the brewery. I was down on vacation and even though I have loved Dogfish Head for years, I had never been on the tour.
I tried to make reservation but the website and your customer service rep said the tour was booked for the day I wanted to come. Since my folk's house is so close I figured I had nothing to lose and walk over and see if someone didn't show up for their reservation and I might be able to get in on the tour.
Your staff was so gracious when I told them I didn't have a reservation. They said, no problem, we'll probably get you in. And sure enough, even though it look as everyone showed up, I was allowed in on the tour, along with my dad!
As a business owner, I love seeing a business, such as Dogfish Head, go head to head with the big boys and come out ahead! It's not only that your product puts the mass produced stuff to shame but your staff and their obvious enthusiasm for what they do is fantastic.
Keep up the great work...FYI-The Palo Santo (which is the only beer I hadn't tasted before and sampled after the tour is now my favorite. Fantastic!
