The 2011 Wet Hop American Summer is our annual fresh hop beer.
We used 50 pounds of fresh Cascade hops picked at their peak flavor and flown in from the hop fields of Washington State. Half of the hops were used in two additions during the boil with the other half used in a quick dip in our makeshift hopback to get that awesome fresh hop flavor.
Grains for the beer included Pilsner malt, Caramel and CaraPils.
Its brewed with an Ale stream with lineage traced back to the famous Burton Ale, a beer brewed only for special employee gifts at the Ballentine Brewing Company.
Wet Hop American Summer goes on tap October 7, 2011 and will be available at the Rehoboth Beach brewpub til it's gone.
Due to the limited availability of Wet Hop American Summer, growlers will not be available.
