Good Helles is a hoppy unfiltered lager brewed with heaping loads of attitude. Originally these beers were the German answer to Czech Pilsner back in the day, when the brewers of Munich feared the growing popularity of the spicy refreshing pale lagers being brewed by their neighbors just to the east. Brewed with Pilsner, Munich, and Special Roast malts along with all American Calypso hops and fermented with true lager yeast. While this golden hued lager may be light in appearance, you can be rest assured this bold brew has boisterous notes of toasted bread and honey with a snappy hop bite to balance it out. Some may say this beer has a bit of a Napoleon Complex, like Tommy DeVito himself. But just like any true ‘friend’, if you take care of it - it will be sure to take care of you.
Good Helles will be tapped on Monday, May 13, 2013 to kick off American Craft Beer Week! It'll be available until it is not.
Due to limited availability, our Brewpub Exclusive beers are not available in growlers.
