Namaste and Sahtea... all in one week!

Sunday, April 25, 2010

Hey everybody. This is an exciting week in brewing. It's seasonal MADNESS!!!! On Monday we brewed Namaste which is a witbier brewed with fresh organic lemongrass, organic dehydrated orange slices, and organic coriander. This beer was originally brewed at our pub last year with our good friend Leo from Birra del Borgo in Italy. We've made about 100bbls of it for a larger release. I'm super excited about it as it was my second favorite beer of 2009 (behind Wet Hop American Summer).

Also, this week, we're firing up the rock cooker to make this year's Sahtea. Last year's was pretty righteous and we're looking for more of the same.

On the horizon are Theobroma and Chateau Jiahu.

At the pub we've made a very special brown ale so go down and ask for it.

Jason brewed at the pub on Monday and his beer will be ready soon.

The last of the Festina is getting prepped for packaging as I type this and it's tasting great.

Tomorrow, I have a training session with a few folks to get them up to speed on cleaning and filling firkins to bring more regularity to our 75 Minute releases. Thanks for the help, guys.

That's all I've got for now.See you later.
