Great Beers, Food and Music....August is heating up at the Pub.

Monday, August 02, 2010

August is here and while summer may be starting to wind down, there is plenty of great beer, food and music happening at the pub.

Fresh local produce will continue to fill our plates as the growing season for items like tomatoes, corn, lettuce and herbs has begun to peak. Thanks to all of our local growers for their hard work.

The draft lines are filling up with Brewpub Exclusives. We are tapping the Ryehoboth today at 12 noon and this year's version is being poured with CO2 not nitrogen so the coriander and orange peel used in the boil will have a chance to tingle your taste buds. This batch of Ryehoboth could be the best yet - stop in for a pint and let us know. We're also pouring Zeno, the delicious Farmhouse ale conceived by brewpub manager Matt Patton. Get them while they last.

At 5:30pm Thursday we're tapping the cask of MusselBeer that was conditioned with Maine mussels when our friends from Grain surfboards came to visit a few weeks back. Come on down and try one. This beer wont last long.

And that's not all... Thursday is packed with excitement!

At 10pm on Thursday, the Soul Rebels Brass Band will take the stage and blow you away, literally. According to some, "If jazz music is the heart of New Orleans, then the Soul Rebels music is the blood that it pumps through the citys body. This hard hitting group will make you stand up and move your feet." They are part of our Bayou At The Beach music series that is taking place at the pub every Thursday night in August and wrapping up with The Radiators on Sept. 2. Tickets for all shows are available on line or at the pub.

See you at the brewpub.
